I picked up my 02 Custom Spoiler 6 with Walnut top to noodle for a bit and the pointer selector knob just broke into pieces!
Weird man. But I just ordered 2 replacements as I have a bunch of Alembics with pointer selector knobs. One to replace the busted one and a spare.

My Distillate went through two pointer switches, first one was totally my fault. Second one similar to yours, sometimes plastic just fails.
I have a stainless steel pointer knob now! ;D

I guess after 17 years it gave up the ghost. I replaced one on my 87 6 string Spoiler as well. I just restrung it with a set of DR HiBeams. It makes you fall in love with it all over again. Stainless (in black) sounds like a great idea.

Hey Danno, long time no hear. How have you been?

All is good Keith. Putting another BLAK29 album this year. About to ink a deal with a large indie label soon. Starting up with a group of guys to play covers for fun and profit ( breaking out the 10 string for this) and work starts up again next tuesday. Hope all is well with you and yours! So the bass in question is restrung also with DR HiBeams and pointer in place. As we all know, these are such high quality instruments that when we revisit them with new strings we get so much joy from them. I think we all agree that they truly reveal how good or bad we are playing on any given day. Cheers.
