I was planning on following the Dead the next summer, once I graduated high school.

I thought about that last night too. I had gone back to the Old Fiddlers Convention in Galax, Virginia yesterday evening, which is exactly where I was 24 years ago last night too when the news came. Sitting in a jam with a circle of friends, I did my version of "Peggy-O" and tipped my hat to the man.
