I bought them from the previous owner who decided that he wanted to modify his Further.
He said that he didn’t like the electronics because they sounded “too clean”.
I advised him against it and told him he’d be killing the value of his guitar but his mind was made up.
Initially, I was going to have these electronics installed in a Strat but I decided against that.
So now they are up for sale.

I totally get it. Most of the bass players and guitarists who are playing Jerry's music or a lot of clean stuff in general might not...but I understand. My band plays mostly Classic Rock with some 90's Alternative Rock thrown in the mix. So I'm playing with overdrive and distortion more than 90% of the time. When I got my first Alembic, I had to completely re-do my effects board to find gain pedals that sounded good with the Alembic and that would allow me to switch to another guitar without compromising the tone I worked so hard to get. That took a lot of effort. And some people might not want to invest the time. I'm thrilled with my results. Honestly, though, in the beginning I wish I had the look, feel and build quality of my Alembics but with the PAF's and other pickups I was used to my whole life. Now, my Alembics are my go-to guitars, but I'll play something else every now and again...and I can go back and forth without any issue. Some people might say the Alembic electronics are wasted on players like me because the overdrive and distortion we use masks the natural beauty of those pickups. There is likely some truth to that and certainly the reason I would never have a Series guitar built for myself. I recently got a Wolf copy that was built by an extremely talented luthier. It's really the best of both worlds...Alembic-like in construction and aesthetics but with the Classic Rock guts I love. Even so, I've grown to love my Alembics too much to have them sitting on the sideline. Plus, it's not nearly as comfortable to play. Here it is, though:

Well that was quick... They just sold on Reverb.
They were only up for less than a day. No idea they would sell so quickly.
