Hi all... Last time I played a bass guitar I was in my 20s, and it was a Rickenbacher 4003. I'm in my middle 60s now, and for personal reasons, and to find that place of peace and music inside of me again, I decided to start down the path I'd left, and this time I wanted an Alembic to walk it with me, because I admire the company, the artistry of its people, and the instruments they build so much. I was able to find this 1985 built Alembic Persuader bass I could afford and it is definitely rekindling that feeling I had once while playing back in those days, which was all I'd hoped for at this stage of my life. This is an absolutely beautiful instrument, the little dings and wear marks showing its years of use take nothing from it, and playing it feels So Right.
I have some questions about it but I'll post those elsewhere. I just wanted to say 'hi', and thanks to the people of Alembic for all the heart and soul you put into your instruments!

Smart move and... what a beautifull bass. Welcome aboard.

I took some time off from playing myself (though not nearly as much as you) - good to have you back and you certainly found a great companion! Looking forward to hearing more about it.

Nice bass and awesome that you are picking music back up. It looks like you are having a great time jamming!
I have taken breaks from specific instruments but have usually kept it up one way or another (sometimes barely).

Welcome to the club. Great to have you here, so don't be a stranger. Nice bass you have there, by the way.
