Title: 1981 Distillate on Reverb
Post by: edwardofhuncote on June 09, 2019, 04:47:35 AM
Though this one is currently in S. Korea, a pretty decent price, and looks to be in nice shape. If one could ask them to remove that Brazilian rosewood truss rod cover, there might not be as much paperwork involved with repatriation.  ::)

*interesting note: it says this one is a 30.75" short-scale, which would be unusual, but might be just what someone needs.

**Interesting note #2: this one has an accent laminate... looks like maple.

I can't tell you what the top wood is. I'd almost guess it was mahogany... but on a mahogany body core with a maple accent? Thats odd. Then this might be an odd bass. Or an odd listing.

You seen this one, Mica?

Upon a closer stare, I do see the 'Bass' cut/flat/boost switch might be a replacement.  :o

Meh... looking at the other pictures, the top is a very pretty reddish-brown, but unspectacularly figured piece of walnut I guess. Maybe the reason for the accent laminate?
