Title: David Houck's project - working on tone and dynamic compression
Post by: David Houck on June 04, 2019, 07:31:58 PM
I haven't recorded anything in quite a while, but today I wanted to listen to a tone I've been working on the last few days.  The recording turned out well enough to share with you.  It's not really a song, just an improvisation based on simple chord movements I've been practicing.  I've also been working on using compression to limit the dynamic range that my right hand tends to create, and the recording indicates that this attempt is more effective than some of my previous settings.

As has previously been the case, this track is marked private:

And a nice way to start my day!  Sort of a mix of baroque classical and traditional America music.  Very nice, David, thanks for sharing!

Excellent! Great tone. I don't think you could do that on anything but an Alembic.

Hey Dave, I’m late to the party but just listed to this this morning. It’s wonderful!  And the sound of the bass is just great.
