Good day. I'm Very glad to officially be an Alembic owner. Its been a long time coming. I actually sold my childhood dream car to purchase this bass And have not regretted it for a second. On May 31st. 2019 I received my 1982 Alembic Distillate and I'm loving every monent I get a chance to play it. (When my 16yr old is not. He's a far better player than I am anyhow I'm ok with it.) I'm looking forward to being a part of this community of Alembic owners. Thank you all who spent the time reading my first post.
-
Welcome, we would love to see a picture of the Distillate (and the car).
-
I'm trying lol. It says my photos are to large I can't figure out how to shrink the files. :o

Welcome to the club!
Resizing pictures is a two step process. First reduce the physical size; the maximum height is 1,200 pixels and the maximum width is also 1200 pixels. Next is reducing the file size; the maximum file size if 500kB, and no more than 10 attachments per post.
Many if not most picture editing programs should be able to do both of these steps. The program I use, IrfanView, does the file size change option when I go to save the edited picture.

Thank you David. Ive I'm going to probably have to do it from my computer I've been on my phone this hole time its not letting me do much.
-
Here is the car I sold. 72 mgb.
-
Yes, I've always used my computer; I doubt that I could do it on my phone.
If I recall correctly, one of our club members in the UK, Graeme, restored an MG. In the mid 80's, the guitar player I played with had an MGB and we rode to our house band gigs in it, when it wasn't in the shop.

The photo file of the car was small enough to share. Ill try to get a pic of my Alembic up tomorrow when I get a chance to get on my computer.

Additional Welcome to the Club, and Congratulations & Compliments your first Alembic. That's a day you don't forget!
After you've resized the pictures, here is a link to the Distillate Showcase Thread where you'll find a few more posted. One of my favorite places to visit here! ;)

Congratulations on your Alembic! Welcome to the club. Don't be afraid to ask questions of this very knowledgeable group of people here, and enjoy.

Here it is.

Welcome to the club and congrats on the bass. The question now is what else do you have that you can sell to buy your next Alembic?
-
I've got a few fender marcus Miller's and a few other basses that may be financing my next Alembic. All kinds of gear to sell.
-
Welcome aboard.
-
Hey, welcome. I am a relatively new Alembic owner too. I sold 2 beautiful Dingwall basses and some synth gear for my Series 1 bass. No regrets, I am loving it and I am sure you will too.
-
Very nice bass and welcome to both of you. I'm relatively new, as well. This is a wonderful corner of the internet. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Wow, Awesome Alembic ! It looks like it has Europa electronics ; hi / low cut, flat, boost, Q switch. Pickup selector, Volume, Filter. Alembic basses are the ones where people say, "I traded my car for a bass." LoL. It's no $300 Squier. This is an investment that will Always hold it's value and increase in value as the cost of living increases. More or Less...
