I thought there might be some interest here. I have a brand new custom short scale 4-string bass built by Rick Turner with Ebony stringers and side LEDs.
· Zebrano top and back
· Mahogany body
· Ebony fretboard
· Ebony stringers though the neck and as headstock laminates.
· Red and Blue LED's installed along the top edge of the neck
· 26 frets
· 30.5" scale length
· 18-volt preamp and rotating pickup
This one definitely has the Alembic feel and vibe. And it has a lot of bottom.
$8500 invested and almost 2 years of build time. Asking $6200.

That's really pretty. What are those knobs with the bass clefs? I got to get some of those! Did the bass come with those LED's, or were they installed afterward?
I bought a medium scale Turner just yesterday.
It seems that every time I buy a bass, another shows up the next day!

Hello Dela,
The LEDs are original. The knobs were Rick's choice.

To paraphrase, "t'were it to be done, t'were well it be done quickly."
So, lowering the price for a quick sale--- $5600 OBO
Thanks.

Price drop to $4200 OBO. Make me an offer. I am trying to fund a new project, so I am a motivated seller. Thanks.

Taking this off the market for now. Too big a loss to sustain. Thanks.

That looks like a sweet bass! I felt a kind of relief that you aren't selling it anymore! Not because I was tempted, but because it seems like a pretty special instrument.
I've never played one of these, or even seen one in person - that "tailpiece" design is pretty out there! The first pic it looks kind of like my Les Paul Triumph, I think it's because of the binding on the body.
