Title: Voltage Conversion
Post by: mica on March 30, 2006, 01:31:06 PM
From transformer primary winding
Black to N terminal on power input connector

To bottom terminal of power switch:
White for 100V
Green for 117V
Orange for 240V
(unused primary wires are insulated)

If you change the voltage on an F-2B, make sure you insulate the primary wire that you disconnected to make the change. Also, make a little sticker to cover the votage declaration on the back of the preamp stating the new voltage.

For a transformer transplant on a old single voltage F-2B, you had 2 black primary wires.  Now your new "black" wire will connect to the fuse.

The other old black wire will now be recast as the new "orange," "green," or "white" wire and will connect to the switch. Refer to the photo above and the original post to select your voltage.

Insulate the remaining 2 wires as shown in photo.
