In however fashion you choose to do so, I hope your connection to this our home planet is experienced at least a little more deeply today.

My new blackberry bushes just got delivered; not being a serious environmental warrior today, but I will get some dirt on my hands.
But first, i'm gonna grab my guitar & do "We Can Run".

Of course when Carl Sagan recorded this, he was unaware of the serious threat to our planet posed by the evil killer windmills!
Happy Earth Day, and an apology to the planet for our behavior.

Bill I stand with you in apologizing for all we have done...
Wendell Berry:
“Whether we and our politicians know it or not, Nature is party to all our deals and decisions, and She has more votes, a longer memory and a sterner sense of justice than we do.”
Greta Thunberg is an amazing woman who is advocating for our planet. For me she has a look of wisdom on her face (we follow her on Instagram). She speaks deliberately about the need for us adults to stop waiting for someone else to fix our mess. I seriously fear that unless there is big $$$ involved there will be no ‘global action’ taken until it is far too late.

Greta Thunberg is indeed amazing.
... And Wendell Berry a treasure.

From Jasper Fforde's wonderful The Eyre Affair:
"It was 1814, the dawn of the Industrial Revolution. The planet had just passed its 'best used by' date".

I am thankful that my environmental footprint is fairly small; never driven a car and only drove my motorcycle for 6 months, but being a goldsmith I AM sadly tied to mining, which is why I try to use recycled gold and stones wherever I can. Tony.

“Earth laughs in flowers, to see her boastful boys/Earth-proud, proud of the earth which is not theirs;/Who steer the plough, but cannot steer their feet/Clear of the grave.”
“They called me theirs,/Who so controlled me;/Yet every one/Wished to stay, and is gone,/How am I theirs, If they cannot hold me, /But I hold them?”
From, Hamatreya- Ralph Waldo Emerson
