Title: Anyone willing to swap an SF-2 for my F1-x

I want to use an SF-2 as a pre-amp in my compact rack housing instead of my F1-x so I wonder if anyone has an SF-2 that is surplus to requirements and is willing to swap. To avoid excessive shipping, duty etc and to make the swap easier for both parties I would prefer a UK based deal. If someone has one at a decent price I may be able to just buy it off  you and sell on the F1-x.

Or you could purchase a second F1-X like I did. They don't weigh much and if you have room in your rack it provides the ultimate in flexibility.

Thanks hammer, however i already have two f1-x’s. I had them in a rack with my sf-2, ds5 and power amp but i only tried bi amping a couple of times so i moved one of the the f1-x’s into a smaller 3u shallow rack with another Ds5-r and 1u power amp. This small rack is the one where i want to swap out the f1-x for another Sf-2 so i still have a more lightweight and tonally more versatile preamp than the f1x to take when travelling light.

Since you already own one, have you tried the SF-2 as a standalone preamp yet? Very rare to see one under $600 used, they generally go for anywhere from $600-$750. Would be a shame to spend that kind of cash without knowing in advance if you will be happy using one as a standalone pre.

I have a SF-2 for sale here on the forum for $650 plus shipping.
