This is my first post here, since i've only just today became an owner of an Alembic. I acquired a an early 80's (I think?) Short scale Series 1 and am just astounded by the sound of this thing, it can basically do it all, as I expected. It's in pretty good condition minus a few dings and laminate cracks here and there, but otherwise it's been well taken care of. I was wondering if I could get some history of this bass, which has a serial number of 811893.
Thank you.

Welcome to the club. Would you mind posting some pictures. Firstly we love to see more alembics and also some experts here may be able to give you some initial info on the bass before the official word comes from HQ.

Hi John,
