I just purchased this bass from a dealer in Japan.

Hi Gladone,

SN # 1632 is made in 1980. (from around 1500 in 1980)
If you got it in your hand now, check the SN again.
The serial number stumps is often difficult to identified. or take a picture and upload on this thread.
Please show the photos, I might be able to  tell you something If I remember it.

Another way, 80' 1612 MSB on Maple is now on the shop.

"My bad" as they would say in the parlance of our time. The # is 79 1362 NOT 1632.

back: Maple
body: Mahogany
neck: Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 30.75" short
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: Mother of pearl
peghead veneers: Walnut
controls: volume x2, filter x2, Q-switch x2, stereo 1/4" output, stereo 5-pin output
originally made for: Rokkomann, Kobe Japan
birthday: May 31, 1979
