Roy Clark has apparently died...

Quite a gifted musician and showman.

I think he was one under appreciated guitar player. While he was known for country and Hee Haw he was one of the most versatile players I've seen.
-
I was at the gas station a little while ago, and the guy at the next pump had his radio on a news station; we both heard about Clark passing at the same time.
And yes, a great player. I used to watch Hee Hah just to see him play.

Well, I can't say he was the only reason I watched Hee-Haw - but he was worth the price of admission all by his lonesome, for sure. One of the all-time great guitarists, and just about as good on banjo & fiddle. A major loss.
Peter (who had a teacher in HS & Jr. HS whose only redeeming quality was that he would actually assign Hee-Haw and Laugh-In as homework.)
