That site is subscription only, but here's the Rolling Stone article (https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/wah-wah-watson-guitarist-dead-746962/).  He played on a lot of albums.

Another legend leaves. I was always a fan of his playing. I did a feature in tribute to him on my radio programme last night along with Roy Hargrove.
