It pains me greatly to share the news that Marty Balin passed away Thursday at age 76.

Another one. 
It sure seems like this is happening way too often.

I saw him live several times.  The man had a helluva voice and a lot of soul.

May the Four Winds Blow You Safely Home.

The contribution that he and the Airplane made, not only to the music but to the culture of the time, greatly impacted the path that my life took.  And for that, I am thankful.

Same here, but much later in life.  Reading the RS article, to have those kind of complications after surgery would be shattering. 


They certainly did "Build this City"!
