Title: Wiring some alembic single coil guitar pickups
Post by: dmtwood on September 07, 2003, 03:12:37 PM
Hi all....new to the board.  I would really appreciate some info/help on wiring alembic pickups.  They are 3 single coil strat sype pickups with grey wire leads. (sorry...dont have a digi camera to take picture).  I was planning to use a traditional 5 way switch.  I got the pickups from eBay, and they came with an input jack (with black square thing) with several wires coming off it.  There is a connection for a 9-volt, as well as what looks like a black ground wire.  Another 3-wire section has been cut.  the colors of these three wires are pink/purple, white with red stripe, and black.-------------I'm not sure how to wire these things up!  Is there a webpage out there somewhere with a schematic or something???  Is it anywhere near wiring up a standard strat??  Do I need a toggle switch or anything??  ANy help would be much appreciated.

I don't have schematics on our website yet, but if you email me your mailing address or a fax number, we can get a schematic to you.

Did you get anything other than the pickups and the output jack? If you didn't get the preamp, you'll need one to get the pickups operational.
