This looks pretty nice (headstock/neck crack looks well repaired), does not include DS-5 or cable....

It has the early style non adjustable nut.  I thought by the '80s the basses had adjustable nuts.
Is this possibly earlier than they think?

On a second look, it looks like it is an '81.  S/N is below the last fret.
