Title: Loss of sound
Post by: HyAlembicK on August 01, 2018, 11:23:45 AM
I was playing my SII shortly last night and I lost all sound. I checked the amp with another bass, fine. I plugged in with a quarter inch cable and it made a clunking sound, but nothing other than that. I run it thru a DS5 R, and it is fine. It happened first with stereo cable, but neither Jack works other than clunking sound when I put in cable. Any thoughts? Mica? Should I bring it down for repairs?

It's dead with the 1/4" plug, but works fine with the 5-pin through the DS5?  Sounds like dead batteries.

Bill, tgo

If the battery isn't dead the next thing to check would be the connections to the 1/4" jack. Also, if you haven't been using the 1/4" jack much it may need "exercising", plug in and out 30-50 times and see if that helps.

No, total loss of sound, guys. Completely dead. Just a little thump when the cable goes into the Jack. Nothing from the 5 pin.

Maybe just send in the card to test to start things out. Please make sure you pack it in a static safe bag and then in a sturdy box.
