I sold to a club member who immediately sold to another club member for more $$. I would assume life circumstances are making this new gentleman sell, I spoke to the guy selling this bass, he was super happy with it not sure what is up...anyway wish I had the cash to get “Dolly” back..

(slightly different finish tint before it's wine ya' know...) ;D From the text of the ad, it does sound like he's got some unfortunate circumstances forcing the sale. :(

Yes, it definitely has more bottom end with the neck pickup so close to the neck. It definitely has more bottom end than the '95 Elan 5 Wineburst I previously owned. While I am trying to downsize a bit and sell off some gear, this one isn't going anywhere...

Haha, I hear you there. Very cool that you ended up with the Elan 5 Wineburst. Great bass.
