Does anybody know anything about 83D30L5, or 83D3015, or 83D3OL5, or 83D3O15?
I think that the two characters in question are a zero and a "L", but there is an indentation at the end of the fretboard and it sort of occludes the left side of the second to last character.
Many thanks, and have a good weekend!

The number would have to be 83D3015 based on Alembics serial numbering scheme.
83 = year,
D = Distillate,
3015 = production number.

Very late (maybe last one) from '83: http://www.fcbass.nl/alembic/10.htm#83 :-)

Thanks for the insight and clarification, especially when the bass was likely made.
