1977 Series bridge pickup cutting out when moved in any way or flexed. Don't want the newer logo style pickup. Hoping for the best.

Mission accomplished thanks to Mica.

Mica and staff really came through and helped me with my intermittent bridge pickup. The polarity of some of these vintage units is opposite when compared to the new units in stock. So in order to satisfy their quality standards the Alembic crew came up with this new set made with the older, smooth-top covers. Honestly, this set has transformed my 1977 Series 1 MSB into an even more wicked sounding instrument. So pleased with what Alembic did. This bass is in good condition for a vintage bass, and has a Series 1 neck and feature set, but with 2 added purpleheart veneers between the top and back of the body, and an zebra back peghead veneer with a purple heart front peghead veneer. I sent the card in, too, and it checked out great. I should add that this bass came with Boomers on it and sounded so good. I put on a set of Swing Bass steels 105-45, which I normally use and sound great on my other basses, but this bass didn't sound near as good with Swing Bass. A big difference in tone with Boomers--I was surprised. Jimmy Johnson also uses them and I can see why--they really get along well with Alembic Series electronics.

Pretty bass. I'd like to see that headstock if you get a chance. Glad you got the pickup situation sorted out.
