Nice! Congratulations.

Thanks Jon. I was surprised I got it. I put in a secret bid awhile back, never guessing it would sell at that low a price point. I should get it in about 2 weeks. Looking forward to playing my first Series II.

I bought a few guitars from a Heritage auction a couple years back. I thought I got a pretty good deal but then with the buyer commission I ended up paying too much.
Live and learn.
Glad you scored that Series II for a good price!

I feel bad for the seller. He only got $4,500 for it. Like you said, live and learn. Never sell anything at that auction!

Hi Joe,
Here's the details from the file:
top: Flame Maple
accent: Purpleheart laminate
body: Mahogany
back: Flame Maple
body shape: Standard Point - but smooth (no point)
neck: 4-piece Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Ebony, classic taper
side markers: red LEDs
inlays: mother of pearl ovals with "PR" in sterling silver oval
pickups: Series II SC-1 with HX
controls: Series II
originally made for: Manny's Music, NY custom order
birthday: January 14, 1999
This was an early bass with the electronics upgrade. They typically come out better now, but this one came out exceptionally good for the time, even with the metal backplates.

A million thanks Mica!

Joe,
My initials are PR. Just saying .......

Beautiful bass you purchased which looks to be in very nice shape! I've thought of bidding on things at Heritage but have always been afraid of the additional charges (sort of like flying on Ryan Air). Looks like you got it for a reasonable price given its condition and I love the Standard Point without the point look!

Thanks Brian. I am also not a big fan of Heritage. You have to pay by eCheck, and then there is a 7 day hold after the funds clear. Then it is a 14-21 day wait for shipping, and they do not pack very well from my past experiences. That is why I am driving up to Dallas Monday to pick it up, when the hold is lifted. I get it a couple of weeks early, I save on shipping, and do not have to worry about shipping damage. I will post some pictures next week. I hope everything works!
