Thought some here might enjoy this retrospective look/listen at the early influences of the man, some of which eventually made their way into the music of the Grateful Dead ; "Jerry Garcia - Before the Dead". I'm hoping my buddy John at Bluegrass Today can snag me an advance copy...  ;)
