Seller claims it has it's origins through Alembic.
???

Um. This is so many flavors of wrong, it's hard to know where to start. P.S. Dad is not from Santa Rosa.
-
It basically looks like "pretty trash".
-
Interesting overpriced home brew...
-
I saw this earlier today and thought that it basically looked like a piece of junk, doesn't matter who built it. Kind of astonishing that some people think any association with Alembic, even assuming that it is genuine, means that someone is going to pay way more than an instrument is worth.

Just when you think you've already met the world's top Bull-Squeeze Artist, somebody raises the bar... ;D

The listing has ended.

Yeah, and the seller changed the title. It originally said ALEMBIC but he changed it to Alem'Bic. LOL

Run. Don't walk. Run. Now.
I'm especially intrigued by the totally rusted truss rod and nut, and either that's the worst glue job in the world, or somebody already took the fingerboard off to replace the truss rod, but dropped dead on the spot when they saw the whole thing . . . . . . . and the cops glued it back on.
But then again, this may be one of the uber-rare Russian Alembic copies, released by a retired vet of one of those 'letter agencies' in the post Cold War era. Just say 'nyet!'. Amazing, you rarely see the 'Commissar Pointski' in the west.
Every time I see one of these 'after hours, used to work at Alembic' (if this is even that . . . . . ), I always remember Susan telling me no one can build one all by themselves, and she's always right. Always.

This Alem'Bic is a great find, a true time capsule from a superposition of several time streams, with its Ibanez Iceman-inspired headstock, B.C. Rich prototype-meets Bec'Var-meets Irwin-meets Lieber upper horns and cutaways, and the lower bout profile of a recently listed, Alembic-built, funk bass prototype which concludes the timeline coalescence. This thing is like a fantastic transporter accident in Star Trek, The Original Series. Yow!

Sorry, this popped off.

Some things cannot be unseen.
-
Should be listed as A'Lame'Bic
-
It has a B.C. Rich "Warlock" style vibe to it and part Alembic. Warlembic. Even if it were offered at $300 I think it would still be listed forever.

just love the back peghead finish ;D... So Alembic style !
