Welcome Drew... glad to see you found us.  ;)

So the Pan control should have a center detent... try rotating it in the direction of the pickup you wish to favor. If it doesn't match what you think it should, (intuitively) open the control cavity and simply switch the pickup leads where they plug into the preamp. This will reverse the function 180°.

We love to gawk at other folks basses around here, so whenever you get a chance, please post us some pictures of your new-to-you Epic here in thr Showcase Thread:  http://club.alembic.com/index.php?board=699.0

Again, Welcome & Congratulations!   :)

If you don't trust your ears, you can rotate the pan to one end, then lightly tap each pickup with a screwdriver - you'll hear a good "thunk" on one and nothing on the other. Then  you'll know for sure which direction of the pan is for each pickup. But yes, we even call the neck pickup the "Bass Pickup" and bridge pickup the "Treble Pickup" in our documentation.

Got it thanks. I seitched the way the pan was setup because it was counter intuitive and works great.

Whats the plus minus for the treble pot? It does not seem to have as much of an impact on sound as the bass pot

according to the post, it's +6 dB to -15 dB, I assume for both.
