Title: My 1st Bass Build
Post by: lbpesq on January 13, 2018, 01:27:29 PM
Meet the newly completed 420 bass!  This is my first bass build.  Black Korina body, Wenge fingerboard, 3A Flame Maple neck, Alembic pickups and electronics (volume and filter), Babicz Full Contact bridge, Hipshot Ultralite tuners, brass inserts and machine screws on neck/body joint.  Hand-rubbed Tung oil finish.   The only thing left is to pick up and install a 3-way Q switch.

Bill, tgo

Something there for everyone: Alembic, P bass and a bit of J bass too. Wrapped together in a very tasteful package. Well done sir!

Fantastic!

Looks so good that it might make its 6-string siblings jealous - especially if you become seduced and start spending more time exploring the pleasures of the low end...

I played this bass at a Jam and had a fun and swell time playing it . It sounds great and it played well all over the neck . Playability was great .
