I bought another Alembic in Germany.
A Persuader 5 String.
I am interested in woods that were used. Is there any file about this bass?
Thank you!

Really nice! Looks like a Maple Top and Mahogany Body.

Agree with Twocan... I'd say maple top on mahogany core, with the added bonus of 3 purpleheart neck laminates. Looks a little bit like the Eastern maple too.
Beautiful bass there... I have the sister to it, #89P5559, also a Persuader 5-string: http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=9179.0

Hi BiBaBass,
Very pretty Persuader! Here's the details from the instrument file:
top: Maple, lightly Quilted
body: Mahogany
neck: 7-piece Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 32" medium
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: Pearloid (plastic) ovals
pickups: PJZ
controls: 2 volume, 1 filter, mono output
originally made for: not recorded
birthday: November 18, 1987
We've got an upgrade available for this model to balance the outputs of the 2 pickups, but you'll have to convert to a volume/pan arrangement to take advantage of it. The details are here (http://alembic.stores.yahoo.net/panpreamp.html)in the Alembic Store.
