Announcing the second (annual?) Boxing Day Alembic Mini-Gathering! Fellow club member Johnp and his drummer brother will again be visiting from Austrailia for the holidays. Last year a few of us got together at my East Bay studio on Boxing Day (December 26 - if you don't know what it is, just ask Jazzyvee, Jacko, or any of our brothers and sisters residing across the pond) and jammed the afternoon away. A great way to put a big bow on the holiday season (and remember ALL holidays matter! hehehehe). Backline and PA supplied. Just bring your axe. Hit me up for more info and directions.

I managed to make it to the Second Annual Boxing Day Alembic Mini-Gathering - only managed a few pics though. In the first pic, Wolf is playing the very first 420 Guitars bass, complete with Alembic Activator P-pickup. The second pic is more from the "bassist's perspective" (in other words, I was behind the bassist next to the bass amp) - Wolf is playing his Essence. Last year I was the only bassist and it was a marathon session - this year I got to switch off with Wolf but the drummer Tom played the whole time! We played for at least 3 hours - lots of fun! Thanks Bill!

I had fun and it was meaningful to see my friends and meet new folks . I will share some of my photos as well later . Bill's bolt on " Fender Jazz Bass style" with Alembic P activators was fun to play all over the neck.

Thanks to Wolf, Harry, John, Tom, and Gavin for stopping by. A real nice 4-hour jam - a great way to cap off yet another year playing Alembic instruments. And it's only around another five months or so to the Eleventh Annual NorCal Gathering!
