Hello all, first post. Does anyone know how John Entwistle set his switches at live and what was the switch near the Master volume and pickup selector?
Thnx
-
Rheostat for LEDs.
-
Don't know about his settings, but I believe there were 2 master volumes with a toggle to switch between them.
-
Based on that vid - loud and LOUDER.
;D
Ooooof...what a sound!
Literally a "ringing" endorsement for Alembic Series instruments!

This is my understanding as well.

What was the point of having two master volumes?
-
Yes indeed,
that were two master volumes with a mini switch to toggle between two settings.
You can clearly hear and see that in the video when the song goes into the quieter mid part
and where he is fading out with that subtle bass lines.
As for the settings he mainly had everything full on on the bass but on different songs
the treble vol rolled back a bit.
Generally the bass settings are not that important for achieving his sound.

Ah, I see, the two master volumes act as pre-set volumes that he could toggle between for different parts of a song. Pretty cool!

Oh and btw: the JE basses are Serial 1!!
