Interesting- another one with extry laminates (framing veneers?) between the neck and body wings... the McVie *fretless has them too.

*continuously fretted. ;D

Looks in good condition for the price from what I can tell.  Seller doesn't seem to fully understand Alembics as evidenced by his response to a question regarding whether the bass includes the DS-5 and cable.

My opinion is that this is a GRAPHITE NECKED Alembic....yes! One of the few out there! I would buy iy but I am broke; somebody should get it asap! For $4000!!! Not a bad price at all....
Mica , am I right in my appraisal and analysis ?

I don't think this is a graphite neck - I've never seen a front overlay for the neck that was trying to mimic a regular through body neck. They do usually have framing laminates on graphite necks though.

...may be so Dear Mica! But the black headstock really has me wondering!I will call them later today; stay tuned!

I fiddled with the exposure on my mac and the headstock looks woody.

Here is an example of one with a front overlay but as mica points out it does not replicate the traditional neck recipe in the body. One for my alembic bucket list maybe.

It's an all wood bass.

The way that neck and body merge so seamlessly is simply amazing. It's as if the graphite just melts into the wood.
