I was watching a discussion programme today on TV and they mentioned that NASA are registering names to put on a chip on the next Mars Mission and the closing date for names is 1st November so I decided to get my name registered as I could never get on a real space flight so having my name on another planet would be really neat. Not sure who's gonna be able to read the chip to see my name though but still.
Now if Mica would register the alembic name on the chip, then the alembic brand name would be truly out of this world. ;-)
Ends on November 1st.

That's much a much better idea than the one of Chairface Chippendale ::)
-
Alembic's quarterly earnings will now reflect the cost of shipping instruments to Mars!!! Must keep up with the times you know!!! ;D
-
I'm goin' to Mars!!!!
(Can some one lend me a really long extension cord?)

Another bonus; average Series I would only weigh about 4 lbs on Mars... on the other hand, shipping back to Santa Rosa is going to be outrageou$. ;D
-
OTOH, minimal rf interference. No need for the upgrade!

yeah, but then word will get out...millenials move in...rent goes up...and wifi everywhere...yeesh :o
-
I bet UPS and FedEx will be soon shipping stuff to Mars also. Imagine when they lose your bass and you get the message, “sorry, we lost your bass. It appears to be stuck in transit in Uranus” (just some Halloween humor here)
-
That's OK...as long as it doesn't encounter any Klingons...
-
This is an all-inclusive site. We believe in diversity. No discrimination will be tolerated. With that in mind, I take umbrage, sir, with your uncalled for, thoughtless, and insulting disparagement of Klingons! What did a Klingon ever do to you? Klingon lives matter!
Live long and prosper.
hehehehe

While we are on the subject, Romulan bird of prey inlays would be rather stunning!!!! 8)

All you gotta do is ask!

Forget about Car 54, Bruce Bec-Var where are you!!!!
-
No offense intended - I was referring to those "other" Klingons that are typically associated with Uranus.
As in "what does the starship Enterprise have in common with a roll of toilet paper".
-
OK, I'll bite, what?
-
Really, David???
OK, I'll do the playground regression - They both circle Uranus looking for Klingons".
Peter (Hey, don't look at me - he asked!)

Hopefully no Trekkies (or other residents of this or any other galaxy) were offended by this mirthful little detour.
Speaking of that, we had between 300 and 400 costumed trick or treaters this year.
Best costume:
One 12 year old wrapped himself completely in bubble wrap and placed "FRAGILE" and "I'M OFFENDED" stickers all over it.
Priceless - !

It didn't take long for this thread to go down the toilet.

A great song about Mars, especially relevant these days. (Warning; language content)

Loved the Rise Robot Rise singing about Mars. Made me get up and wiggle this. Morning! :-D Who else is so qualified to sing about a distant planet other than robots?
.... maybe whales?

^ album cover from Gojira's album. Although not a fan of the death metal genre, this concept album clicks with me. Mars represents war and Sirius represents peace.
