The bass just had a full fingerboard redress, cracked inlay replacement, high class refret, full refinish, 3 times gold plating on hardware and is absolutely stunning. All done by Australian master luthier Tom Konig. The 12 string in the last picture is also a Konig, the only person I trust with my prized Alembics - his work is world class. Cheers, Garth

That is a thing of beauty, Garth. 8)
Love how you 'captured' the upright reflection in the backplate too! ;)

Beautiful bass! Love the wood and gold plated hardware!

Lovely!

Capture of the upright was absolutely stunning as mentioned by Greg. Professional photographer or just have a knack for creativity?

Thanks for all the nice comments. The pretty 1950s Czeck 1/2 size Double bass in the gold coverplate was a lucky reflection that I spotted while photographing the bass on my wall hanger but my photography skills are basic at best 😁 . This Series 1 is to me the best bass i have been fortunate enough to play. Really great to have a community like the Alembic club who share the obsession 😂

A very lucky shot then. ;D
Next time you're taking some pictures, post us a few of that 1/2-size Czech beauty too? http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=22703.0
