Hi Craig,

Looked up the details in the file. This is what I would consider a "typical" Excel for the time it was made. We were trying to make a model with limited features to keep the price lower, but they eventually all cross over into custom land!

Here's the details:
model number: XLB4
top: Vermilion
accent: Walnut pinstripe
body: Ash (usually 3-pieces as well)
neck: 3-piece Maple with 2 Walnut pinstripes
scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Pau Ferro
inlays: none
pickups: 1 FatBoy
controls: "Excel" volume, bass, treble, mono output
originally made for: Guitar Showcase, CA
birthday: November 1, 2000

The original owner was in California.
