Vintage "Alembic series I" @ Guitar Center.
I emailed them that it is not a Series One yesterday. They lowered the price but still advertise it as a Series One today.
Odd, huh?

I emailed them about this a couple of days ago when it was first posted and got an email back telling me they were already aware of the problem and were going to fix the listing. Listing was taken down for a day or so but when they put it back up it was still wrong.

They updated the ad, it now says Distillate, which looks to be correct.

Looks like a Koa-topped Distillate too... extry points! ;D
There must be a glitch somewhere, 'cause the ad keeps reverting back to read Series I... y'all don't reckon somebody sold it to GC as a Series I? In the description they seem to think it needed a power supply... and at that price, one wonders. ::)
Anyway, that's a pretty Distillate. :)

In all my dealings with Guitar Center stores I have always found them to be honest.

I have worked for GC, and all I can say is - whatever that is you're smoking, pass it over here!
Peter (Who didn't last long or make much money there, not being a very good liar)

I would think that if you want to sell a $2900 instrument you would make an
effort to take some better pictures.

Maybe it's in your cache? Now if I only had the cash....

To be fair, I've gotten my best deals on used Alembics from guitar center. An even 2k for a like new Claro Walnut topped Rogue 4, and an even 4k for a MINT chocolate quilt darling guitar with blue LEDS.
They simply do not know how to price them. At the same time, I've seen a few 70's series I guitars listed for over 11k at GCs too...

I like GC for many reasons; they have a huge access to nationwide used gear, they are not in love with their SH*% and want to move it, and you can often dicker with them. They also used to ship stuff really cheap, but I don't know if that is still true.
