Title: Looking for my old Series one...Sold by Elderly a few years ago... any help?...
Post by: allgood on July 24, 2017, 10:07:03 AM
I had a Series 1, 4 string, circa 73 or 75, the stamp was a little messed up, so I was never sure which it was.  Zebra wood top and back, zebra headstock laminate.  The unique thing was I had a purple flight case made for it.  Also had the original hardshell.  Several years ago I saw it on Elderly Instruments for sale for $3,500.00.  It was mine, still had my orange name sticker on the purple case.  Didn't have the money at the time.  I had that bass for a long time, traded to Nashville Used Instruments for an upright, don't remember how many years ago, probably at least fifteen.  Anyway, if someone knows the bass or owner, I would be interested in seeing if I could buy it back.  I'm sure there are better basses out there,  but this one has history with me.  If anyone knows about it, please reply, or email me at allengoodwine@gmail.com.  Thanks a bunch!

Mica, hi, sorry for the late reply... I do not have any photos, but it looks like one on EBay right now, but I am not sure.  Trying to get them to send photo of serial number.  Room037 provided the serial number, I guess from Elderly.  Do you have any updated registration info for 75-183?  Or can you give me the details of that bass?  Maybe it will help me identify if it is my old one, which I hope to be reunited with.  Thanks, Allen
