My band has many upcoming gigs. (We played a lot of gigs as "Coastal Vibe" in the Daytona Beach area since last October, (but changes happened as they do!). We have regrouped; changing members and material; and we shall be even stronger. The Alembic sounds great. My thirty y.o. drummer had never heard of the brand, but he was duly impressed.
Alembic custom shop left-handed bass, serial number: 93C7918. 1993 Alembic custom shop bass, Essence body with custom (Europa/Rogue) electronics.
Requires Bridge Kit with stainless hardware.
Once I receive the kit (on order, unless I goofed) I will disassemble and polish the bridge components.

They are all Custom Shop. The beauty of Alembic!

For volume on stage (and miked thru the PA) the Alembic is equally strong (resonant) on all four strings. It isn't necessary to exert extra pull on any strings to get the sound to punch thru). That plus all the sustain is there if you ever need it and the tone is superb. Very easy to dial out any clackety clack and still get super nice tone.
I can't wait to get my bridge repair kit and get that baby looking sharp.
