I am speechless! This belongs in an art museum!

That is a perfect example of why Alembic will always remain a leader and not a follower!

I really enjoy being surprised at what they can do in the shop out there. Using crushed turquoise as a filler... what a neat idea!   :)

I'd be curious to know what binder material was used. I have done something similar with brass or pearl filings mixed into an emulsion with epoxy, the results varying between decent and downright un-impressive.

Wow.

I know I said that previously, but this one takes my breath away.   I don't play guitar, but if I had money to burn, I would buy this one just to look at.

Body Sandwich: Buckeye Burl, Purpleheart, Maple, Purpleheart, Maple, Purpleheart core, Maple, Purpleheart, Maple, Purpleheart, Buckeye Burl

I wished it had a side shot.

This was a really fun and interesting project. My uncle Bob is a master woodturner, and those guys have been using stone fill for years. I'm sure we were not the first to use it on guitars, but I will say that my mom waited for the right piece of wood to come along to suggest actually doing it. Guitar Sanctuary was game to try it out, and are we glad they did. I think my favorite part is how the bookmatched peghead came out.

This is the closest I have to a side view. I don't have a good lighting setup for the side - something I'm still working on.

Thanks Mica, you guys have outdone yourself this time. Also glad to see your mom was part of the project. I hope she stays healthy, as well as the rest of your family. Too bad this guitar is in Texas, as sales tax will be a factor. Keep up the great work guys!

Must be so nice to live in a part of the world (Santa Rosa) where the sun is out so often and you can shoot with real light!

That is just spectacular.  I wonder if they take trades...  my house, my soul, my 401K, and a unscratched lottery ticket may be a good down payment!

If THAT's not 'Beyond Custom', I don't know what is.  Breathtaking.
