Title: Convert a US F2B to 230v?
Post by: bumhucker on April 06, 2017, 06:25:54 AM
Hi--it looks like I'll be moving to Australia from the USA and I want to get an F2B before I go.  If I buy an older one will it be difficult to convert it to 230v?  Probably would need a new transformer right? I'm talking like a vintage F2B. I know the newer ones have transformers that are convertible but they are out of my reach unless I find one used...

It depends on just how old your F-2B is. There's instructions in the FAQ (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=247.0) for converting voltage, but if you don't have a transformer capable of that, you'll need to order a new one from us.

Thanks Mica--I just got a 1980 F2B so I'll be contacting you about ordering a new transformer!
