Title: Pals in Northern California and the Pacific NW
Post by: edwardofhuncote on February 21, 2017, 02:21:56 PM
Here's to hoping my online pals out in Northern California and the Pacific NW are safe from the extreme weather and flooding. Hunker down Kats-n-Kittens, it might get rough... I'll be rooting for ya.  8)

It certainly has been wet up here at the top of the East Bay hills.  Our well has been overflowing for about a month, we have at least two streams running through the property, and our yard and driveway were turning into Woodstock until we brought in nine cubic yards of gravel.  The roof sprang a leak last Friday but at least seems to only happen when its raining and the wind is blowing in a particular direction.  Lots of saturated ground and standing water.  At least we haven't had the usual winter ant invasions lately as I imagine they've been washed away.  Nevertheless, we're not complaining as we needed the water and many have borne far greater inconveniences than us.  Still, I'm feeling more and more like a drowned rat.

Bill, tgo

We've had some issues here in Sausalito. First the roof started leaking in daughter's bedroom. Now there's a suspicious pool of damp in the downstairs closet. The hillside's saturated. We could use the water, just not all at once.
