Going to see Victor Wooten at the Birchmere in Alexandria VA on 27 Feb.  (Seeing Maceo Parker in the same venue on 20 Feb)

I've seen him live and he puts on a show. Unbelievable Skills! Enjoy!

As impressive as his bass playing is, I find him as a person to be equally impressive.
There was a post a few months back of Victor talking to a graduating class at his alma mater (?).

Also recommended; Victor's book... an abstract philosophy called "The Music Lesson".  ;)

Wish I could get loose that Monday evening... The Birchmere in Alexandria is a solid 4-hour hop from here, and that 5am Tuesday morning alarm is cruel and unusual punishment! ;D

I saw him perform on a salute to the president a few months ago and he was on a cane and performed sitting down. What a performer, he blurred the lines between all styles of music!
