Title: (x) 98C11883 - General Info Request
Post by: facemo on January 31, 2017, 10:20:21 AM
I just purchased this bass and I would love to know more about it.  Because of it's white finish I have no idea about what woods were used to build it other than the ebony board.  I would really like to see a copy of the original build sheet if that's possible.  The body shape appears to be a "Vector" and the headstock looks like an "Elan".  The electronics appear to be the "Signature" package.  Anything you can share with me would be most appreciated!

Hi Spencer:

Here's the details from the instrument build records:

serial number: 98C11883
model name: Custom
model number: CLB5
body: Solid Mahogany
neck: 5-piece Maple with 4 Walnut pinstripes
scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: none
side markers: red LEDs
body shape: Vector
finish: Opaque Arctic White
pickups: Alembic 2 P
controls: " Signature" volume, pan, filter x2, Q-switch x2, mono output
originally made for: Shelby Music
birthday: November 20, 1998

The original owner never registered this bass. I was registered in 2003 to a player in South Carolina.
