I have seen many great custom wood knobs on this site. Primarily I have seen Roger at THG Knobs mentioned. Life keeps happening and I don't know when I will get an Alembic order together.
But since there are so many great people on here with custom experience, I'm hoping to collect some opinions. I am working on a Walnut stain maple bass with ebony fingerboard and I'm looking for thoughts on wood knobs.
Right now I am leaning toward ebony knobs with a maple cap and side line inlays in silver. Other ideas being kicked around are solid ebony and solid maple that matches the body color.
Is anyone willing to agree, disagree, or offer other ideas I haven't thought of?
Thanks.

These are the ebony knobs that I have on two of my basses, they were made by David King of Portland, Oregon...

David is pretty awesome. I have bass #15 from him, a headless 5 string fretless that is a pure joy to play.

Thanks for the recommendation. I looked at the website and the products do look nice. If anyone has any design input or suggestions, that's encouraged also.
