Title: short travel bass
Post by: mavnet on December 24, 2016, 01:50:34 PM
Hi, all. I travel for work every month and end up living in a hotel for a week at a time. Then i come home and have to work hard to get my fingers limbered up again and try not to lose calluses.

Anyone know of a really really small travel bass that'd fit in a suitcase (at an angle)? Something to run scales on, doesn't even have to sound like anything. I've though of the ashbory style bass, but the plastic strings wouldn't help with calluses.

Thoughts? THanks!

What about something like the Kala U bass?

Hey Mark, you might want to check out the Fernandes Nomad bass.  You might have to look around to find one.  Also, look at the Hofner Shorty bass.  Those are the two smallest playable models I can think of at the moment.

You should also look at the Traveler bass.

Thanks, folks. Good ideas. Some of these look very doable. My fingers will thank you!
Now I have to dig around the couch cushions and see what I can find.
