Mica,
Would you be willing to see if there is any information on this bass?
It's my first Alembic, as of today.
Thank you.

Hi Stephen,
Here's what I found in the instrument file:
model: DMB4
top: Bird's-eye Maple
accent: none
body: Mahogany
neck: 5-piece Maple and Purpleheart
scale: 32" medium
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: Pearloid (plastic) oval
pickups: AXY4
electronics: "Distillate" volume, filter, Q-switch, bass cut/flat/boost, treble cut/flat/boost, pickup selector switch, mono output
originally made for: Watermelon Sugar
birthday: not recorded, but likely late November 1989
There's no previous registered owners in the file. The note for the top wood selection states "no mineral deposits" and from what I can tell, that is one clean piece of Bird's-eye Maple!

Hello Mica,
Despite my broken finger, I was able to spend some time with it today.
This is the finest bass I have ever played!
Thank you and the family at Alembic for making such a wonderful instrument. It is truly a gem.
