This is a great looking bass. At the risk of hurting my bank balance, i'm scared to ask which country is this bass located?

Nice-looking axe.  What's the scale length, please?  And (roughly) where might it be located?

Hi PierreYves, my main concern is the cost of import duty and taxes which would be expensive on that valuation.
Cocobolo is currently an Appendix II listed wood under CITES and this has some restrictions on movement between contries. But if it the wood was on a finished item before it's CITES Listing date of 12th June 2013 then with written proof of this I could apply for a pre-convention certificate, pay a processing fee and wait 2-3 months for this and then if i get the certificate I could get the bass shipped to me. But that is too much additional expense and hassle. Anyway there are always going to be temptations but I think it would be more sensible for me to enjoy what I have now for a few years before looking again.

 ;D :D ::) :'(
