Due to a longer than expected recovery from surgery for my wife, I'm selling my green 5-string Elan.
You can see the particulars and pics here: http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=8537.0 (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=8537.0)
It's essentially in the same shape as delivered, pretty close to like-new. Gigged rarely. Weighs about 10-11 lbs. No balance issues with this shape. Original G&G case, build sheet. I've always guessed it was the wood, but this one has the clearest low C's and D's of any bass I ever heard.
I'm including a green leather Levy's strap which was thick enough, I NEVER could get the strap locks attached to the strap (!), and a set of D'Addario strings to match what's installed.
$2500 plus best shipping to you.
For now, I'm only listing them here, as I'd like for them to remain 'in the family' if possible, but will go to EBay or CL if required.
Pls contact me at (615)457-2553 days or at biggreenbass@comcast.net. I'm not a Smartphone guy, so use those two ways and I will get back to you.
Thank You Very Much,
Joey

Someone here who can play a long scale should seriously consider these basses. They are beautiful.

PS: We'll PayPal these two. And yes, they're exceptional and will make somebody a wonderful axe.

And for what it's worth, I sent an email on the 14th and yesterday. I hope everything is OK Joey. Is this bass still for sale? Thanks!

The Elan is now sold. Thanks to all of you for your interest, and encouragement. It is so very strange not to have a bass in the house (much less two Alembic five-strings), but either having them sitting here or having my mortgage paid for the next 6 months while her recovery continues, there was only one choice. And like our Dear Paul TBO once said, ' . . . . . . there will always be another, another, another . . . . . . . '.
My thanks and appreciation to you all,
Joey Wilson
