Title: FS: 5-string Spoiler [SOLD]
Post by: bigredbass on November 05, 2016, 08:40:46 AM
Due to a longer than anticipated recovery following my wife's back surgery,  I am selling my red 5-string Spoiler and my green 5-string Elan.

The particulars and pics of the Spoiler are here:   http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=8925.0 (http://club.alembic.com/index.php?topic=8925.0)

It's in great shape overall;  the top of the Crown peghead is scuffed just a bit, and there are a few not-thru-the-finish small dents in the body rim, but were there when I bought this used in the 90's.  Light for its' size, around 8-9 pounds, and is a bit neck-heavy as all of these are in this shape in long scale.

I'm including the original case (Good shape, all three latches work), a set of Markley Rocco Prestias to match what's installed, and a red Levy's suede strap with Schaller locks.

$1500 + best shipping to you.

I am only listing these here for now, would prefer they stay 'in the family' if possible.  Will expand to Ebay or CL is required.

Contact me a (615)457-2553 days, or on the web at biggreenbass@comcast.net.  I'm not a Smartphone guy, so pls use the two methods and I will get back to you.

Thank You Very Much,

Joey

Thanks Greg, believe me, not everybody bounces back from 'minimally invasive laser surgery' . . . . . . to quote Jimmy, HAH !  Got to be right up there with a head transplant .  . .  I swore I'd never sell them, but faced with a choice of her care and these basses, well, they've got to go.  I can always get another axe, but not another love of my life.

BTW, we'll PayPal these things.

They've both lived a well-sheltered life.  No hot or frozen car trunks.  I've always stored them in their cases upright, not flat.  Obviously, they play 'like buttah', and they're ready to go gig or record RIGHT NOW, no issues.  The strings on them have been on there a while if you'd prefer a little more 'dead', and I'm including new strings if you want 'boing-boing'.

Noooooooo.   I'm buying my 2nd ever lotto ticket today.  When I win, you're keeping the BRB and that amazing elan.

As the new custodian of the big red bass, I'd like to thank Joey for the great deal on the sale, and his commitment to customer satisfaction. Great guy to deal with. Finally, Joey I wish the best for your spouse, an eventual if not speedy complete recovery.
