I've been holding off on selling these, but car and gear issues have kind of forced me into it. I have (1) MXY and (1) Rickenbacker neck position for sale. $90 each, including shipping, or $165 for the pair. FYI - an MXY mounts in the Ric treble (bridge) position nicely by just drilling 2 holes into the stock pickup mounting plate. I'm attaching a picture of it mounted in a Ric bezel which is NOT included in the sale, sorry. =)
If you want to hear a sample of what these sound like on a Ric bass, I used this setup on this song - https://www.reverbnation.com/nomadic1/song/25337793-the-take (https://www.reverbnation.com/nomadic1/song/25337793-the-take)

Hey Gearhed, I assume you replied to my yahoo email account. Unless there's some secret messaging system in the new forum that I haven't discovered yet.
Would you recheck?
Thanks,
Joe

Congrats on the sale(s)! I would still love to have an Alembicized Rickenbacker bass - ideally, I'd have a 4001/4003 and a 4003S/8 with stock pickups, and then the same two but with Alembic pickups & electronics. But of course that's not going to happen, so I've been fantasizing about keeping the toaster in the neck position of my 8-string with an Alembic pickup in the bridge position. But I think the most realistic thing to do is just run it through my SF-2 to get some sparkle on the highs. The 8-string actually makes the most sense to run in stereo - maybe I shouldn't have gotten rid of my 4008?
I'll fantasize about the bridge in a "Dreaming... for now" thread!

I still have an Alembic Ric bridge pup, another MXY, and a vol/vol/filter/Q wiring harness that I'm keeping for future use. You never know when the right project might pop up!
