Hi,
I did a search but couldn't find a reference and did not see anything in the FAQ section pertaining to hat knob allen wrench. So, would anyone happen to know the size allen wrench needed to remove the hex screws on a hat style volume knob?
Thanks!

Found it! 1/16 Allen wrench. :)

Awesome! I've been so lucky the past couple of times I needed an allen wrench.

I bought a bunch of them and distributed them liberally among gig bags, tool boxes, cable crates, etc. .050 allen wrenches, too.

"Found it! 1/16 Allen wrench..."
You beat me to it Rob... I just knew that thread existed somewhere in here. ;)
Another hint Mica once gave me for mounting hat (or collet) knobs; cut a slot in a business card, for use as a spacer when re-installing knobs on the shafts. And don't try for "farmer tight" on those set screws.

"Page Two" as Paul Harvey used to say!
Thanks for the tips, Greg, especially the spacing, very helpful!

The hat knobs can be pulled off after the Allen screw is loosened correct?

You have to loosen BOTH screws to remove the knob.
